Why do you need your own website in 2014?

I  wanted to write this article long time ago to explain from my own  experience why it’s so important to have your own spot under the web sun!
8 reasons why YOUR business NEEDS a professional website today!
Like many small or just new business owners, you may think your  business cannot benefit from having a professional website or that a  website is not within your budget. These are misconceptions that may put  your business in a serious risk in the future.
These 8 reasons explain why your company NEEDS TODAY a professional  website, no matter what size your business. And the budget is not a  point because I work with all budgets.

1. YOUR SMALL OR NEW BUSINESS WILL GAIN CREDIBILITY
Today, all consumers use the internet to search for the products or  services they need. Your small or specially new business will gain  credibility by having a website. Without one, potential customers will  go to your competitors that have one.
Probably, you already have a website but it’s oldish or worse, it’s  “home-made”. With a professional revamping, making it mobile-friendly  with up-to-date graphics, it will provide your business a professional  image and send a positive message to your customers that you take a  close eye on what is going on around you and inspire even greater  confidence.
For home-based businesses, this is incredibly important and  beneficial since you do not have a mortar and brick store front to  promote your products or services.

2. WEBSITE IS COST EFFECTIVE
You may think, it’s not a costly effective to invest in a website. It’s wrong. You simply can’t afford NOT to invest to it.
Firstly, because your concurrence will do, and they will have your clients who is prospecting online.
And secondly, investing in website won’t break your bank account.  Although the cost of designing a website varies, once it’s up and  running, a website for a middle business generally costs under $200 a month and, in for small business, even as little as $100per  month.
If you compare to the budget you have to spend promoting your  business via local press and radio, website is a very cost effective for  your company.

3. EASIEST WAY TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS INFORMED
Have you already printed the catalog of your products? How much it  did it cost? And if somebody did a mistake in a pricing and you had to  wrap all the whole printing order?
Things are much easier to manage on web. Use your website as your  online brochure or catalog. It is easier, quicker, faster and much cost  effective to update information about your products and services on your  website than in print material.
Spread practically instantly the information about the arrival of new  products and services, upcoming events, special promotions, share code  coupons and throw competitions.
Unlike print advertisements which quickly become outdated, your website can provide freshest information and news.

4. ACCESS IT ANYTIME, ANYWHERE
Are you traveling and can’t show your catalog? Show your website!  Your brick and mortar store is closed? But your website is running!
Your website is available to your regular and potential customers  24/7/365, providing them with the convenience of reviewing your products  and services when your store or office is closed.
With today’s supercharged lifestyles, this is a strong selling opportunity point when making a purchase decision.

5. A WEBSITE SAVES YOU TIME
Isn’t tiresome to explain and re-explain the same thing several times? Don’t you want to be concentrate on something else?
Than send your asking clients to your website. They ask about  products? Provide them online catalog. Have questions how to use your  products? Create FAQ section.
Save your time, life is short.

6. A WEBSITE GOES OVERSEES
You don’t have intention to stay local, do you? Whether you provide  products or services, your website will provide an alternative location  to showcase them.
With a Webshop solution, nothing can stop you to provide your services and goods worldwide!

7. IT HELPS YOU TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS
Nothing warms more a heart than a compliment. Let your satisfied  customers leave comments on your products. It builds credibility once  again and helps other to make their choice. And let the unhappy  customers express themselves. They give good alarming points, before the  big fire could start and ruin your business. Spot them and improve  them!

8. IT’S A FREEDOM TO EXPRESS YOURSELF
To promote your business via Facebook only without your website is  like renting a spot on the market to sell your goods, instead of having a  real store. You can send your sales representative to the market spot  to promote your goods, but he/she should bring customers to your real  store.
Within your website, you are free to express your creative  or ethic  vision, showcase your portfolio, promote, engage, communicate.
